Currently, we’d say that the Apple AirPods Pro is the leaders of true wireless earbuds. They’re also regarded as one of the best wireless earbuds on the market. It is because; Apple has included some long-awaited features in the AirPods Pro such as the interchangeable eartips and active noise cancellation.

Better touch controls:

Also, the AirPods Pro is coming with a much better touch control and they have also retained the near-instant pairing and hands-free Siri of previous versions.

The sound quality of the AirPods Pro is much improved and the quality doesn’t drop whether you’re listening to your favorite music or making a phone call to your loved one.

The wireless charging case of the AirPods Pro is something anyone would love to have. It also offers a top rated 5-hour battery with 24 hours of battery life with case.

IPX 4 Water Resistance:

One of the best things to have come out of AirPods Pro specifications list is the IPX 4 water resistance that can withstand sweat and water to some extent.

However, it won’t be advisable to use these AirPods in water sports. It weighs around 0.19 ounces and the overall size of the earbuds is (1.2 x 0.9 x 0.9 inches, 2.4 x 1.7 x 0.9 inches).

Final thoughts:

The active noise cancellation and transparency mode of this device is quite beneficial and is also comes with an adaptive EQ, customizable fit and audio sharing. The Siri will announce messages for you and the voice activated assistance is one of the notable points of this product.

As far as the price range of the AirPods Pro is concerned, you’d get it for less than $250 and it is quite high compared to the Pixel Buds 2 that are coming in at less than $180. One of the only drawbacks in Apple devices is their high price range.

The AirPods Pro is quite expensive at $250 and it gives you premium level features for wireless earbuds. However, the price of this particular model hasn’t dropped below $200 so far and we can anticipate the same price range in the next couple of months.

Benefits:

• Adaptive EQ
• Customizable fit
• Audio sharing
• Siri – Voice assistance
• IPX 4 Water resistance
• Better touch control

• Expensive
• Not advisable for water sports

The only true wireless earbuds came from Google in the form of Pixel Buds 2. If we’re not wrong, we believe that this has been one of the best productions from Google as far as earbuds are concerned.

The overall design is strikingly beautiful with a variety of colors such as Almost Black, Clearly White and Quite Mint available to mesmerize you. The earbuds will sit flush in your ears after wearing them and they’re well protected with an ear wing.

Wireless charging case:

The wireless charging case is also available in the Google Pixel Buds 2 and it gives you the same 5-hour battery with 24-hours of life inside the case. It also offers an IPX 4 water resistance feature similar to the AirPods Pro.

They aren’t advisable to be used inside water and the overall weight of the case and buds is somewhat similar to the AirPods Pro.

It weighs around (0.8 x 0.8 x 0.7 inches, 2.5 x 1.9 x 1 inches) but, it doesn’t have the active noise cancellation feature like the Apple AirPods Pro. However, it does give you the adaptive sound, hands-free digital assistant and fast pairing.

Price & Design:

As you’d expect with Apple, the price of the AirPods Pro is not affordable for a majority of the customers. On the other hand, compared to AirPods’ $250, the Google Pixel Buds 2 is coming at a much-more affordable price range of $179.

The overall design of the AirPods Pro has been changed to a great extent but, it still gives you a fascinating look that can attract anybody. The heads of these Apple earbuds are larger than the previous generation of AirPods.

Also, there is a carved out pair of divots for the force sensor controls. On the other hand, the design of the Google Pixel Buds 2 is pretty much capable of attracting buyers of almost every age group.

The Pixels buds weigh around 0.18 ounces and measure around 0.8 x 0.8 x 0.7 inches which is slightly lower and lighter than the AirPods Pro that weigh around (0.19 ounces, 1.2 x 0.9 x 0.9 inches).

Final thoughts:

The comfort level of both these products is better than the previously released models from the respective companies.

Any pair earbuds that doesn’t produce problems after wearing them for more than two hours is a great choice. Interestingly, these two models from Apple and Google provide the maximum comfort level and the Apple AirPods Pro is now coming with slapped eartips.

The only major difference between the Apple AirPods Pro and Google Pixel Buds 2 is the absence of active noise cancellation in the Pixel Buds 2. However, a price difference of more than $100 is also quite important when making a final choice.

Therefore, we’d recommend you to research thoroughly before picking between these two devices. Overall, we’d recommend the Google Pixel Buds 2 to all the customers looking to get great services equal to that of AirPods Pro at a much-more affordable price range.

Benefits:

• IPX 4 water resistance
• Attractive design
• Affordable
• Decent 5-hour battery life (24 hours inside case)

Drawbacks:

• No active noise cancellation

Conclusion:

Choosing one between the Apple AirPods Pro and Google Pixel Buds 2 shouldn’t be a difficult choice. While both these devices are conspicuously similar, they have a few differences as well that are worth noticing.

The Google Pixel Buds 2 are attractive in their design and doesn’t cost you as much as the Apple AirPods Pro. On the other hand, the AirPods Pro takes an edge over the Pixel Buds 2 because of its active noise cancellation ability and better touch controls.

If you can afford to get a pair of earbuds for almost $280, the Apple AirPods Pro should be your first choice at any cast.

However, you can settle for almost the same features as AirPods Pro in the Google Pixel Buds 2 and get them for less than $180. We leave everything else to you. See you soon in our next analytical guide. Until then, wish you all the luck in whatever you choose.
