As the latest sensations of ‘Apple’ are about to hit the markets, people still can’t decide on which iPhone to grab amongst these newly launched products.
In this article, we are going to shed light on what’s different and same between these newly launched beauties.
If we talk about the simple differences then the display, the camera and the water resistance are some of the main differences between iPhone 11 and the other two models. There’s a price difference of almost $300 to $400 between the simple iPhone and the Pro models.
The design has been changed significantly as the back side of the new iPhone presents itself with a dual camera. Here’s how the three phones could be measured.
iPhone 11: 75.7 x 150.9 x 8.3mm
iPhone 11 Pro: 71.4 x 144 x 8.1mm
iPhone 11 Pro Max: 77.8 x 158 x 8.1mm
Despite significant differences in the style and weight, the three phones share the same aesthetic feel and also it comes with an all-glass back which combines with a new square camera array to give the new phone a stunning look. iPhone 11 comes with aluminum sides whilst the other two latest models have stainless steel sides. The iPhone 11 has a thicker bezel but overall, all of them comes with almost similar shapes. The iPhone 11 like the other iPhone Pro has a square camera bump, despite having only two lenses.
Apparently, all three models of the newly launched iPhone series look the same to the naked eye but there’s quite a difference between the size and the display as well. The iPhone 11 which is cheaper in price than the iPhone Pro has a bigger display as well but the quality is certainly lower than the iPhone Pro.
- iPhone 11: 6.1-inch Liquid Retina, 1792 x 828
- iPhone 11 Pro: 5.8-inch Super Retina XDR, 2436 x 1125
- iPhone 11 Pro Max: 6.5-inch Super Retina XDR, 2688 x 1242
The iPhone 11 has an LED Tech compared to OLED Tech which is being used in the other two Pro models. Right now, nothing can be ensured about the new displays of these phones but according to the past experiences, the iPhone Pro models are made to bring a desired result and a stunning look for the customer who wishes to buy it. The Pro models will bring deeper colors which will eventually enhance the look of the entire phone in your hand.
The newly launched phones of Apple are using A13 bionic processor which emphasizes on the importance of machine learning. Meanwhile, the company claims that it is both the fastest CPU and GPU in a smartphone.
Basically, the authorities are very keen to claim that the processor used in these phones are as good as those used in a laptop. So the bottom line is that the user can expect a highly anticipated performance from these phones.
The front cameras of these newly launched phones have been ungraded from last year as they feature a 7MP lens. It also features the Apple’s true depth camera with Face ID.
The iPhone 11 and iPhone 11 Pro models consist of the same 12MP camera with F/2,2 aperture camera. Apple has also launched a new feature in the front camera of these phones which is known as the “Slofies”. Slofies records your selfie videos at 120fps.
The Rear camera is the feature where the Pros models is different from the simple iPhone 11. They are making a deal out of the new triple-camera array on the Pro models but the dual-camera feature lens on the iPhone 11 is no stoop.
- Camera 1: 12MP wide, f/1.8, OIS
- Camera 2: 12MP ultra wide, f/2.4, 120-degree FOV
iPhone 11 Pro and Pro Max
- Camera 1: 12MP wide, f/1.8, OIS
- Camera 2: 12MP telephoto, f/2.0, OIS, 2x optical zoom
- Camera 3: 12MP ultra wide, f/2.4, 120-degree FOV
The significant difference is the addition of a telephoto camera in the Pros models as if the iPhone 11 can range from 0.5x (ultra wide) to 1x (wide), the new iPhone 11 pros are being able to range from 0.5x to 2x. (Telephoto) which is basically used for 4x optical zoom.
The triple-camera function in the iPhone 11 Pro is not just restricted to extra lens, as the makers of this phone claim that these three different cameras are being place for different things like White balance and exposure. To make it further understandable, the iPhone 11 Pro’s camera is much more than just an extra lens.
These phones also come with a new night more for taking useable snaps in extreme low or dim light. It also brings next-generation smart HDR and an advanced red-eye correction with auto-picture stabilization.
As far as the video mode is concerned, all three phones of this model record in 4k and also up to 60 fps. It also features a microphone on your subject as you zoom. There’s a Quicktake video feature as well which allows you to hold the shutter and swiftly move towards video-recording mode.
Battery timing and charging
Last year, the iPhone XR had a better battery timing and life than its more expensive XS models. However, this time around the Apple has fixed that problem and all three phones of this series have received a huge capacity boost as far as the battery life is concerned.
- iPhone 11: 1 hour longer than iPhone XR
- iPhone 11 Pro: 4 hours longer than iPhone XS
- iPhone 11 Pro Max: 5 hours longer than iPhone XS Max
This is certainly a massive boost to the battery life and especially for the Pro models. If we take a look at the video playback time then the manufacturer says that iPhone 11 will get up to 17 hours, the Pro will get you almost 18 hours and the Pro Max will go up to almost 20 hours.
To charge your phone, these models come with a wireless charging on board as well as a fast-charging through a 12W or higher power adapter. But in other words, only the iPhone 11 Pros include a proper 18W charger in the box. The users of iPhone 11 would need to buy a new charger as their phone comes with the same old 5W power adapter.
This time around, the Apple has taken the audio one step further with the new iPhone 11 compared to a stereo speaker system in last year’s iPhones.
These new phones feature a new 3D sound model which is made possible by a new sound visualizer. With that comes the Dolby Atmos support which would sound crisper, clearer and more immersive on all of the new iPhones. The sound will definitely improve in the new iPhones as it brings more quality to the table.
These new phones in the iPhone 11 series come with a Face ID as well as 3D facial recognition. It works in the same manner but Apple claims that the performance of these features have gone 30% faster than the previous ones.
Now you can dive into almost 4 meters of water to get great snapshots. The previous feature was restricted to only 2 meters of water but the latest iPhones come with a different and more sustainable features as far as the water resistance is concerned.
Now comes the colors, last year Apple introduced a wide array of colors with iPhone XR, and the trend has been continued in this series as well.
iPhone 11 comes in black, white, red and yellow. There are two new colors as well in this list as the shades of purple and green make their appearance for the first time in this series. iPhone 11 pro side, they are coming in space grey, silver and Gold colors. Also, the new dark-midnight green is joining the list of colors.
