Samsung Galaxy Watch Active 2 – Improved Health and Safety Features:
Recently, we have shared Samsung Galaxy Watch Active 2 – Leaked Photos, Sizes, Battery Capacity & Design. Leaked photos for this most awaited wearable were shared by SamMobile for the very first time on the internet. Now, they have shared some more useful information regarding the upcoming smartwatch from Samsung that is Samsung Galaxy Watch Active 2.
Latest leaks suggest that the successor of Samsung Galaxy Watch Active will have an Apple Watch like ECG App. This feature will enable its users to take their electrocardiograph from the wrist of their hand. ECG App will capture details related to user’s heart rhythm in case they experience rapid, skipped, low or irregular heartbeat.
Afib notifications is a short form of Atrial Fibrillation(Wikipedia) Notifications. Samsung Galaxy Watch Active 2 will be able to give notification regarding this condition of user’s heart. It is a most common type of irregular rhythm of heart which can result in heart stroke. Just like Apple, Samsung will have to obtain clearance for this feature. So, we can expect this feature to be absent, initially at the launch time.
Fall Detection feature:
Another feature that the users of upcoming Samsung Galaxy Watch Active 2 are going to have is Fall Detection. It is expected to be similar to Apple Watch 4. It is an interesting feature which automatically calls the emergency contact number if it detects a hard fall when it is operational on the wrist. Initially, it alerts the user when it detects a fall, if the user does not respond in set time, then an emergency call and alert messages will be sent to emergency contact numbers.
The launch date of Samsung Galaxy Watch Active 2 is unclear at the moment. Experts suggest that it will be launched alongside Galaxy Note 10. We are expecting that Samsung is going launch an improved wearable to counter the domination of Apple Watch in the market of smart watches. Another leak related to wearable devices of Samsung (Samsung Watch 2 codenamed as “Renaissance”, New and Improved smartwatch) was also shared on TechDetects last week.
